Achish Sends David Back to Ziklag

2. And the lords of the Philistines passed on by hundreds, and by thousands: but David and his men passed on in the rereward with Achish.

2. Les princes des Philistins s`avancèrent avec leurs centaines et leurs milliers, et David et ses gens marchaient à l`arrière-garde avec Akisch.

2. "Ary ireo andrianan' ny Filistina dia nandroso nitarika ny miaramilany isan-jato sy isan' arivo; fa Davida sy ny olony kosa nandroso teo aoriana niaraka tamin' i Akisy."

3. Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell unto me unto this day?

3. Les princes des Philistins dirent: Que font ici ces Hébreux? Et Akisch répondit aux princes des Philistins: N`est-ce pas David, serviteur de Saül, roi d`Israël? il y a longtemps qu`il est avec moi, et je n`ai pas trouvé la moindre chose à lui reprocher depuis son arrivée jusqu`à ce jour.

3. Ary hoy ireo andrianan' ny Filistina : Haninona moa ireto Hebreo ireto? Ary hoy Akisy tamin' ireo andrianan' ny Filistina: Tsy io va no Davida, mpanompon' i Saoly, mpanjakan' ny Isiraely, ilay taty amiko elaela ihany izay, ary tsy hitako izay tsininy hatrizay nialany niandany tamiko ka mandraka androany

4. And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he be an adversary to us: for wherewith should he reconcile himself unto his master? should it not be with the heads of these men?

4. "Mais les princes des Philistins s`irritèrent contre Akisch, et lui dirent: Renvoie cet homme, et qu`il retourne dans le lieu où tu l`as établi; qu`il ne descende pas avec nous sur le champ de bataille, afin qu`il ne soit pas pour nous un ennemi pendant le combat. Et comment cet homme rentrerait-il en grâce auprès de son maître, si ce n`est au moyen des têtes de nos gens?"

4. "Dia tezitra taminy ny andrianan' ny Filistina; ary hoy ny andrianan' ny Filistina taminy: Avelao ihany io lehilahy io hiverina ho any amin' ny fonenany izay efa nomenao azy, fa aza avela hidina hiaraka amintsika hiady izy, fandrao ho tonga fahavalontsika izy raha miady; fa amin' inona no hahazoan' io mihavana amin' ny tompony? Tsy amin' ny lohan' ireto olona ireto va?"

5. Is not this David, of whom they sang one to another in dances, saying, Saul slew his thousands, and David his ten thousands?

5. N`est-ce pas ce David pour qui l`on chantait en dansant: Saül a frappé ses mille, Et David ses dix mille?

5. "Tsy io moa no Davida izay nandihizany sy nanaovany hira mifamaly hoe: Saoly nahafaty ny arivoarivony; fa Davida ny alinaliny?"

6. Then Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, as the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour thee not.

6. "Akisch appela David, et lui dit: L`Éternel est vivant! tu es un homme droit, et j`aime à te voir aller et venir avec moi dans le camp, car je n`ai rien trouvé de mauvais en toi depuis ton arrivée auprès de moi jusqu`à ce jour; mais tu ne plais pas aux princes."

6. "Ary Akisy niantso an' i Davida ka nanao taminy hoe: raha velona koa Jehovah, marina ianao, sady sitrako ny iarahanao miditra sy mivoaka amiko eto an-toby, fa tsy hitako izay tsininao hatrizay nahatongavanao teto amiko ka mandraka androany; nefa kosa tsy sitrak' ireo andriana ireo ianao."

7. Wherefore now return, and go in peace, that thou displease not the lords of the Philistines.

7. Retourne donc et va-t`en en paix, pour ne rien faire de désagréable aux yeux des princes des Philistins.

7. Koa miverena, ary mandehana soa aman-tsara, mba tsy hanaovanao izay tsy sitrak' ireo andrianan' ny Filistina.

8. And David said unto Achish, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy servant so long as I have been with thee unto this day, that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king?

8. David dit à Akisch: Mais qu`ai-je fait, et qu`as-tu trouvé en ton serviteur depuis que je suis auprès de toi jusqu`à ce jour, pour que je n`aille pas combattre les ennemis de mon seigneur le roi?

8. Fa hoy Davida tamin' i Akisy: Inona no nataoko, ary inona no hitanao tamin' ny mpanomponao hatrizay nitoerako taty aminao ka mandraka androany, no tsy hahazoako mandeha hiady amin' ny fahavalon' ny mpanjaka tompoko?

9. And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle.

9. "Akisch répondit à David: Je le sais, car tu es agréable à mes yeux comme un ange de Dieu; mais les princes des Philistins disent: Il ne montera point avec nous pour combattre."

9. "Ary Akisy namaly an' i Davida hoe: Fantatro fa tsara eo imasoko tahaka ny anjelin' Andriamanitra ianao; nefa ireo andrianan' ny Filistina no nanao hoe: tsy hiara-miakatra amintsika hiady izy."

10. Wherefore now rise up early in the morning with thy master's servants that are come with thee: and as soon as ye be up early in the morning, and have light, depart.

10. "Ainsi lève-toi de bon matin, toi et les serviteurs de ton maître qui sont venus avec toi; levez-vous de bon matin, et partez dès que vous verrez la lumière."

10. "Koa mifohaza maraina koa ianao mbamin' ny mpanompon' ny tomponao izay nanaraka anao; ary rehefa mifoha maraina ianao, ka mazava ny andro, dia mandehana."

11. So David and his men rose up early to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.

11. David et ses gens se levèrent de bonne heure, pour partir dès le matin, et retourner dans le pays des Philistins. Et les Philistins montèrent à Jizreel.

11. Ary Davida sy ny olony nifoha maraina koa handeha maraina hiverina any amin' ny tanin' ny Filistina. Ary ny Filistina dia niakatra nankany Jezirela.
